Back To School Tag!

Hello Beauties! I hope all is well & you all are staying cool in this HEAT. I found this really cool tag on MZ _UNIQUE423'Ss Blog & of course me being the "professional student" that I am I wanted to try this. This Monday will be my 1st day of class starting nursing clinicals, I am excited & nervous all at the same time! Well here goes.....

1. What are you excited and/or nervous for this year?

As previously stated, I'm excited and nervous about starting nursing clinicals.

2. What's your favorite part of getting ready for school?

Of course, back to school shopping! I still love buying new clothes for class & I like to where all new stuff for the 1st few weeks of class.

3. What grade were you in when your first started wearing makeup to school?

Lol, no grade I was a sophomore/junior in college (for my 1st degree). In high school I may have wore eyeliner when I wanted to "be cute" but I really only wore lip gloss here & there.

4. Where or from who, do you like getting inspiration for back to school?

I would have to say magazines or YouTube, but I how really wear (clothes and makeup) depends of my mood that day.

5. What are your favorite upcoming "back to school"/fall trends for this year?

The only one I'm really aware of right now is the dark bold lip & I won't be wearing that to class. Lol, but I can't wait til I can wear my boots!

6. Where do you like to go shopping for back to school supplies?

Walmart, Target, and Office Max

7. What are your favorite stores to go back to school shopping?

Forever 21, Dillard's, Victoria's Secret (Pink), H&M, the normal places I enjoy shopping.

8. Will you be carrying a backpack or a purse to school this year?

I carry those pink bags from VS.

9. What are 3 non-beauty essentials you HAVE to carry in your backpack/purse?

Coach wristlet, VS Pink planner & pencil case (with pens and pencils of course).

10. What are 3-4 beauty essentials that you HAVE to carry in your backpack/purse?

Lip gloss/balm & one of the brush/mirror compacts. That's really it, I don't really touch up anything else while I'm at school.

11. What are your go-to hair products for this year, and what it your go to hair style?

The Organix ever straight Brazilian keratin hair therapy flat iron spray and anti-breakage serum and the Organix Moroccan argan oil serum. My go to hair style will most like be straight hair most of the time, but when I have time I love using my Remington curling wand for those body wave curls.

12. What are your go-to makeup products for this year and what is your go-to makeup look for school?

For right now I'll still be using my summer faves (post coming soon) and my go-to makeup look for school most days will be winged eyeliner and mascara, blush, lip gloss.

Lately I have been so un-inspired to do anything (my hair, makeup, etc.) & I didn't want to go too long between posts so I decided to post this 30 questions about me & makeup tag that I recently found. 30 questions is a lot but I hope you all take the time to read my answers! Well here goes....

1 When did you start putting on makeup?

When I was in the 4th grade while most girls where collecting dolls or whatever I started collecting lip gloss. I had a collection of about 20 assorted lip glosses/balms. I remember my favorite's where lip smakers. Then eyeliner came in HS, but I've only been wearing makeup "properly" for about a year now.

2 How did you learn to put on makeup?

YOUTUBE!!

3 Favorite Brand?

MAC

4 Do you like wearing foundation? If so, what’s your color and favorite.

I actually really don't like wearing foundation & I never really wear foundation, unless it's for events where I'll be taking a lot of pictures. But my new love is MAC's Face & Body foundation and right now I'm a C7.

5 Favorite lipstick, lip gloss and lip liner.

Favorite Lipstick : MAC's Russian Red, Impassioned close 2nd
Favorite Lip Gloss : MAC's Fashion Scoop Cremesheen Glass
Favorite Lip Liner : All of NYX's lip pencils lol

6 Do you like/wear false lashes? If yes, strip or individual

I don't like but I don't dislike false lashes & I wear the strip lashes occasionally.

7 Favorite eye shadow color.

MAC's soft brown, I literally wear this in ALL my looks except when I use the Naked Palette.

8 What’s your favorite daytime look?
Mascara, Liquid liner, Blush, Bronzer, & Lip Gloss

Yes! My favs are NYC Sunny & MAC Refined Golden

Wherever I can find room! I'll be looking for better storage once I move.

Yes, almost daily. If I'm wearing anything it would be blush & lip gloss.

16 Do you copy any of the celebrity’s makeup?

I wouldn't say that I did, but if I see something that I liked I might would try it. I love taking inspiration from magazines, my favorite is Vogue.

17 Favorite makeup artist.

Bobbi Brown

18 What’s your favorite night time look?

Dark smokey eye with red or pink lips! That's mainly what I wear when I go out, but I wear a lot of color during the day.

19 Favorite concealer.

Currently it's my VS concealer.

20 Favorite eyeshadow primer.

MAC's painterly paint pot.

21 Where do you buy your makeup at?

MAC, Target, Sephora, & a few online places as well

22 Favorite toner.

I don't use toner.

23 Favorite eye shadow palette and blush palette.

24 Which do you like: cream, matte, powder, sheer, or shimmer eye shadows?

Matte eyeshadows are my favorite, but I'll take some slight frost/simmer sometimes.

26 Do you wear makeup everyday?

No, especially in the weather!

29 Do you like wearing liquid liner? (if so, what’s your favorite)

I do but then I don't. The finished product is great but of the three types I have it is the most difficult to apply. My current favorite it Hard Candy's walk the line in asphalt.

Tag!! You're It!

Hello Beauties! I hope all is well. Here a really quick tag post I decided to do because I thought it would be fun. I found this "Would You Rather" tag on the lovely *Makeup Diary's  blog and I wanted to try it myself just to see how my answers would turn out. I just came back from vacation and haven't really got back into the swing of things and wanted to post something for you guys so here goes.....

1. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lip-glosses or lose all of your palettes and eye shadows?

This is a rather simple question for me because I don't wear e/s on a daily basis simply because I don't have the time in the morning. On a daily basis I wear mascara, eyeliner and lipstick or lip gloss, so I would have to say lose all of my palettes and eye shadows. I would miss them dreadfully tho, especially when I have the time to actually use them.

2. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

This one is easy too, I would rather to never be able to cut my hair again. My hair used to be really long until I got scissor happy, then I got flat iron happy, so my hair is really damaged so I'm in the process of growing it out.

3. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

I love coral cheeks for this time of year, but my ALL TIME FAVORITE blush is MAC's Her Blooming Cheek and it's a really vibrant pink color, so I would have to say I would rather a pink cheek.

4. If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

Ok, this one is tough even for me. I am a make up addict in every sense of the word but I LOVE fashion! I wish it could be 50/50 but since I have to choose I would say I would rather buy clothes. Only because I mainly can afford to buy all the makeup items I want I don't really use extremely expensive makeup products so I would want to use that to buy the clothes that I'm too cheap to buy (or cause I spend all my money on make up as it is anyways).

5. Would you rather apply lipstick as an eyeliner or eyeliner as lipstick?

This is an odd one here...... I would rather apply lipstick as an eyeliner because most of my lipstick colors are colors that I would wear on my eyes as well. My eyeliners are black, brown, blue etc and I would not wear those colors as lipstick.

6.Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

I like Sephora and the brands that are there but if I think about my collection as a whole I don't have many products from there and most of my makeup comes from MAC. So I would rather only shop at MAC. I would miss the occasional UD palette but that's probably about it. I melt inside every time MAC releases a new collection w/an item that I just have to have!

7. Would you rather only use one eye shadow or one lip color the rest of your life?

I would rather using only one lip color and I'm pretty sure that one color is MAC's Russian Red lipstick. Only using one eyeshadow is something I could never imagine! If my eyeshadow is on point I could use carmex and be perfectly fine with that.

8. Would you rather wear winter clothes in the summer or summer clothes in the winter?

Where I live if i tried wearing winter clothes in the summer I would DIE of a heat stroke. I would rather wearing summer clothes in the winter. I have always said that "I put my closet up when the winter comes" I love my summer wardrobe more than any season, although now I am starting to find some cute winter items but I would pick sandals over boots any day.

9. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Simple, I would rather bright nails all year round because I wear bright nails all year round. I remember in January I was rocking the brightest yellow nail polish I own! I tried an OPI dark cranberry color once, I hated it, & ever since I've been wearing bright nails. 

10. Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

Whoo, idk this one! If I had to choose I would rather give up my favorite lip product. I'm sure I could find another red l/s I love just as much as Russian Red. Is that cheating? Lol

11. Would you rather be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

I would rather the messy bun. I think they are so cute & chic!

12. Would you rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lip-gloss?

As difficult as this question is I would have to say I would rather never use lip-gloss again. I have been doing my nails or getting them done since I was 12, I'd wear lipstick, but I CANNOT have naked nails!

13. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all? Or sharpie them in everyday?

NEITHER!! I know this is suppose to be fun but this I just can't answer. To me your eyebrows are the most important feature on your face. None would be ludicrous and a to sharpie them in is just outrageous!

14. Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

This would be the hardest decision thankful I don't have to make & hopefully never have to make, but then again I'm going into the health profession & I might have to eventually give up my flamboyant nails. So I would rather live without nail polish, I have to have my makeup!
