La Femme Blushes Haul/Review

Lately I have been a blush kick, so when I came across the La Femme Blushes at Makeup Mania I knew I wanted to try those. I seen quite a few good reviews on the product (not so much the company) so I decided to place an order. I went a head and did the Palette Lab option (12 blushes and one palette) since it was cheaper and I didn't have an empty palette to place the pans in. Before I even get to the product I want to briefly talk about the company (feel free to skip ahead because I rambled on a bit, sorry). I called them before I placed my order because the blush orange wasn't available for placing into the palette, and they were very helpful they instructed me on what I needed to do to get that particular blush. Now they warn you that it may take up to 5 days for the palette lab to be put together, like it takes so long for them to place the pans in the spot. I placed my order on May 24th and got my shipping confirmation email on June 15th, then later that day I got another email that it was partially shipped due to the orange blush suddenly going out of stock and it will be shipped later with no added shipping fees. It was shipped two days later. That a was three week and a day wait, but I must say that it was definetly WORTH THE WAIT. I really like these blushes. They are highly pigmented, they have a HUGE color selection, and they are sold at an even better price. They have a pretty good lasting power, but I will say that they are really powdery. You would have to be careful when using a brush not to dip to hard into the product because you will pick up too much and have a slight mess. Ok I feel like I've blabbed on too much so on the pictures.

Outside - It came with this card that I taped on top to remember the names.

Swatches
From L to R: Flamingo Pink, Pink Velvet, Stormy Rose, Framboesia, Magenta

Swatches Cont'd
From L to R: Golden Sunset, Mocha, Lilac Champagne, Purple Passion, Soft Beige, Sienna

That's the orange blush (center) that came in a few days later. I did some comparisons, the La Femme Blushes are about the same size as a MUFE eyeshadow (which is a large e/s in my opinion) and significantly smaller than a MAC blush, but if you compare price 2.50 to 19.50 (in pot) or 16.50 (pan) it's still cheaper.

Swatch of the orange blush

I'm slowly starting to fall in love with these blushes even tho I've only had them for a week or so. If you are around my skin tone Sienna is the perfect contour color. I love that it's no so dark and blends in evenly. I could ramble on more about each color but I think this post is long enough, if you want to know more just ask & I'll be happy to help.

My 1st Nail of the Day Post!

Hello Beauties! I recently went to the nail salon to get my "nails did" & I wanted to share with you all. I titled this "Nail of the Day" but this is really "Nail for the Next 2 Weeks"! I've been going to the same nail salon since I was like 13/14, I really love them but they haven't really updated their nail polish selection so I started my small but growing nail polish collection & I bring a new polish every time I go (unfortunately this time I left my polish there so I can't show the bottle as well). This time I used Sinful Color's Innocent nail polish.

This picture is from my iPhone 4 but I think it's a pretty decent picture. I really love the color and the designs. These are my nails but with an acrylic overlay. I like the way it helps the polish last longer without chipping, when I go back in two weeks they will basically still look like this with "new growth" at the bottom.

Let me know what you think in the comments below and tell me some of your favorite nail polishes for summer.

Thanks for viewing & have a blessed day!!

50% Off Studio - Eyes Lips Face Cosmetics

Good morning beauties! Here another really quick post on a great deal. I just received an email from Eyes Lips Face Cosmetics that they are having a 50% Sale for there studio line. I know a lot of people wait for this sale to rack up on there studio line products. The studio line at ELF is there more sophisticated line with the sleek black packaging and the product quality is way better than there regular line. I'm thinking about picking up a few products I haven't tried yet. I really like the products I currently own from the studio line like the powder brush, the blush brush, the blushes, the duo eye liner stick, the list goes on! But I must say I DO NOT like the fan brush. The sale lasts until the 27th of June and you have to purchase at least 25$. The studio line ranges from 3$ up to like 15$ I believe so that's already a great price so the sale is close to highway robbery for such great products! The code to enter is STUDIO50.

Happy Shopping & Have a Great Day!!

MAC's Surf, Baby! Haul

I know I'm like eons late but hey better late than never right? I went to my hometown for the break between the spring and summer semesters and there isn't a MAC store or counter (I know lame) and some of the products I wanted was already sold out online before the release date sooo I called the MAC counter where I attend school and placed my order over the phone. Therefore I had to wait until I got back in town to get my goodies. I love when MAC does collections like this mainly because I am a sucker for different packaging (btw I love it). Ok enought rambling on to the good stuff......

My 1st MAC paper bag, I really love the chartruese in the inside.

*The four items I ordered*

*Surf, Baby Cheek Powder: My Paradise*
This was the like most wanted item of the collection. I was initially going to pass on this because I got Marine Life beauty powder last year, but when I called they had two left so I was going to get it while I had the chance & return it if I felt it was unnecessary. Let me say I'm glad I did not pass this one up, it is so gorgeous I didn't even want to touch it!

*Surf the Ocean: Crushed Metallic Pigment*

These pigments are not like any pigments I have ever encountered. It's like they are grinded up finely as most pigments. I would say they are in a more natural state.
Pros - really pigmented
Cons - May be difficult to work with

*Surf, Baby! Bronzing Powder: Refined Golden*
My new favorite bronzer! I been wanted to try this (because it's apart of the permanent line) but I waited for the special packaging. I really love the glow it adds to my face for this time of year.

*Surf, Baby! Lipstick: Hibiscus*
I would say this is my favorite product that I use (because I just stare at the My Paradise cheek powder lol). I love bold, bright, and daring lipsticks like this one.

Lip Swatch

These are all the things I originally ordered from the collection, thinking of maybe going pick up a few other things while I still have time. What did any of you get from the collection?

Lashes & LipStick

Here's a really quick post of how I've been wearing my makeup lately. Sooo Saturday where I live it got up to 101 degrees & I decided that I didn't want my makeup to run away from my face! I only wore lashes and lipstick (nothing else) & I really like it. The lashes really accent the face and the lipstick really add a nice POP of Color. It's also a great way to pull off a bright lip color! Here are a few photo's of the look...........

Lashes  - #606
Duo Lash Adhesive - Dark
Revlon Super Lustrous LipStick - Siren

**Small Walmart Haul**

Yesterday I stopped by Wal-Mart to pick up Rimmel London's gentle eye make up remover due to the fact I have .2 mL left in my current bottle (I'm like on bottle #4). I love that stuff, it's not oily and greasy as other eye make up removers I've tried. Anywhoo, of course I was not able to walk away from the cosmetic section with only one item, but I spent under 20$ so that wasn't too bad. Now onto the good stuff..........

**My Goodies**

Rimmel London's Gentle Eye Make Up Remover
Wet-N-Wild Color Icon Lip Pencil - Brandy Wine
Wet-N-Wild Color Icon Lip Pencil - Chesnut
Wet-N-Wild Color Icon 8 Color Eye Shadow Palette - Blue Had Me At Hello
Cover Girl Queen Collection Lip Stick - Spicy Seduction
Cosmetic Applicator Sponges (I purchased because of PurseBuzz's tip of the week)

Cover Girl Queen Collection Lip Stick - Spicy Seduction
I think this lip stick is great for my skin tone for a really pretty bronzed Goddess look for summer.

I'm not a fan of up close lip swatches but here's one.... I like how it shows the color, I guess that's the point (Duh!) lol.

Wet-N-Wild Color Icon 8 Color Eye Shadow Palette - Blue Had Me At Hello
I actually really like this palette.  Each color is labeled for each correlating spot on the eye and they also have a picture on the back showing each area on the eye, I think that this is very helpful and great for beginners. I needed a matte black because my love affair with MAC's Carbon eye shadow has become love/hate relationship and for only $4.47 and 7 other colors I decided to give this a try. Now I don't like all the colors but the black is pretty pigmented.

I swatched the 1st column down, then the 2nd column down.
My favs are the silver (eyelid) color and the matte black (definer) in the 1st column and the sky blue (brow bone), turquoise (eyelid) and deep navy blue (crease) in the 2nd column. The other colors are okay but I either have better or could simply do without.

So this wraps up my tini haul from Wal-Mart.
