MAC Pressed Pigments 2013.

Hello Beauties! Today's posts features a couple of the new MAC Pressed Pigments. I'm so happy I decided to try these because they are absolutely stunning and very easy to work with. Take a look at the two I picked up, enjoy.

Pink Pepper, Damson

Pink Pepper - "Deep coral with gold pearl"

Damson - "Deep brown with gold pearl"

Swatches

Pink Pepper, Damson

The swatch really doesn't do justice for either of them. They have a great sparkle and shine that has glitter but not too glitter-y if that makes sense. I apply them but spraying my face with Fix + and a flat paddle brush. I don't experience fall out by using that method.

These each retail for $21 and they are both limited edition. If you can get your hands on these I really recommend getting them.

MAC Temperature Rising Haul.

Hello Beauties! This posts features the 2013 limited edition MAC Summer collection called Temperature Rising. I look forward to the big Summer collection yearly because I'm always anxious to see what the packaging looks like. I'm still a bit bummed they did not release a new Beauty Powder/Blush but anyways here's what I picked up...

Feel My Pulse Lipstick
"Vivid magenta violet"
Cremesheen finish

Swatch: (last photo) here

Hot Nights Blush
"Midtone berry pink"

Ripe For Love
"Midtone peach"
Satin Finish

Swatches

I really happy with all the pieces I picked from this collection. They are already in rotation for the Summer.

The stars of the show for me are (of course) the blushes.

Did you pick up anything from this collection?

MAC Pro Blush Swatches.

Hello Beauties! As promised many moons ago in this particular post I'm finally getting around to posting swatches of my MAC Pro blushes. This is by far my favorite blush palette and I use it all the time. Usually when I travel these are the blushes I bring with me.

MAC Pro Blushes

Top row (from left):
Salsarose "Lightly iridescent coral" - satin
Azalea "Bright iridescent blue pink" - frost
Rhubarb "Bright magenta" - satin

Bottom row (from left)
Devil "Bright orange coral" - satin (my favorite)
Burnt Pepper "Warm rich terra-cotta" - matte
**Blunt "Muted golden brown" - matte

Price: $17
Where to buy: here or any free standing MAC Pro store

Swatches

From left: Rhubarb, Azalea, Salsarose

Blunt, Burnt Pepper, Devil

** Blunt is not considered a "Pro" blush. It's holding a spot until I can decide on Cantaloupe or Apple Red.

These blushes are VERY pigmented. A little truly goes a long way. I use a stipling blush or a fluffy angled brush and VERY light hand.

MAC Fashion Sets Lip Pencils.

Hello Beauties! I know I was hesitant to do a post on the items I picked up from the Fashion Sets collection but I believe a few places (like Nordstrom) still have the pencils available. Also Ablaze and Heroine lip pencils are coming back in July so definitely keep an eye out for that.

I am loving everything from this collection so far. I think the new skin finishes are just as awesome as the previous ones. I also like the fact that it's two colors in one.

The blushes are really nice and even though they aren't immensely pigmented they look great once applied to the skin.

I passed on the brush before in a previous collection (or two) but I'm so glad I got it this time around. It's so very soft and works well with the blushes and highlighters.

If you can I highly recommend checking out items from this collection before they are gone.

Did you pick up anything from In Extra Dimension?

MAC Sounds Like Noise Lipstick.

Hello Beauties! This post features MAC Sounds Like Noise lipstick. It's a Limited Edition orange lipstick recently released in an online only collaboration collection 'MAC x Haley Williams'. The collection has a few other items but I skipped them (I previously owned the Mineralize Skin Finish).

Sounds Like Noise Lipstick

Description: "Bright true orange"
Finish: Matte
Price: $15
Where to buy: MAC online only

Swatch

I am a lover of matte lipstick and bright, bold lipsticks so I was really excited to try it out. It is unique to my collection because all my other orange lipsticks have red undertone and this one does not. I really recommend trying out this lipstick while it's still available.

Top 12 Beauty Products of 2012.

Hello Beauties! Is it just me or did this year fly by? Seems like it was just January the other day.

This post is dedicated to the top 12 products (or categories) that I discovered this year or that were released this year that I absolutely fell in love with. I tried a lot of things this year so it was really hard to narrow it down to 12 but I thought the name was cute LOL.

On to my picks...

1. The Sugarpill Heart Breaker palette.
This is by far my favorite palette that I've purchased this year. All the colors are really pigmented and unique to my collection.

2. MAC Highlighters.
These are the Extra Dimension Skin Finishes released this year and the Mineralize Skin Finishes released this Summer from the Heavenly Creature collection. After getting these I really haven't used any of my other highlighters.

3. The Make Up For Ever empty tin palette.
I've talked about this in my favorites before. It is perfect for those shadows and blushes that come in pan form and you don't have any place else to put them or perfect for travel. I call it my homeless shelter.

4. Inglot Shadows.
This year I finally decided to try Inglot shadows and they really are as good as people say. I really love the pigmentation, my only gripe would be that the matte shades are really powdery so just watch for fall out.

5. MAC Lipsticks.
This year I've purchased quite a few lipsticks from MAC but these three are the ones that I'm most happy about. Pink Pigeon, Heroine, Candy Yum Yum. Unfortunately these three are all LE but word on the street is MAC is making Candy Yum Yum permanent.

6. Real Techniques Brushes.
These are some really amazing brushes with an ever better price.

7. NYX Matte Lipsticks.
I live for matte lipsticks and I really love the formula of these. They are matte but not drying at all. Perfect Red, Tea Rose, Bloody Mary and Shocking Pink (my favorite one).

8. NYX Xtreme Lip Creams.
I really don't have better way to describe these 'than a dream come true in a tube'. These are a highly pigmented liquid lipstick. I have a post with more info and swatches here.

9. NYX Matte Bronzer.
As you can see I really love this. I purchased this mid-July and it's been my go-to bronzer/contour product ever since.

I think it's funny because I recall saying earlier this year that I really wasn't into NYX but clearly that has changed.

10. NARS Amour Blush.
This is by far my favorite blush. I love the way it looks on my skin, I find myself reaching for this weekly. That's often (I think) for a blush lover like myself.

11. MAC Strobe Cream.
This is a moisturizing highlighting cream. I used this on my many early mornings during the semester because it instantly makes me look alive.

12. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tars.
These are the newest products (to me) that made the list. They are last but certainly not least. I don't know why I'm just getting around to trying these but they are really amazing just like the hype that follows. The two shades I have so far are Belladonna and Anime (pink and purple of course). I do have my eye on some other shades (of course red being one of them).

What were some of the products you loved this year? I'd love to hear about them.

Thanks so much for reading!

Favorites: Orange Blushes.

Hello Beauties! As promised in my favorite pink blushes post, here are my favorite orange blushes. I really love this shade of blush, especially during the warmer months. Out of all of these the one I usually reach for in the Fall/Winter is Taj Mahal.

Like my pink blushes some of these have some coral/red undertones but when I look at them they still lean more towards orange to me.

MAC Marine Life Beauty Powder

Sleek Aruba (this picture does this blush no justice)

NYX Cinnamon

Illasmasqua Excite

Tarte Tipsy

NARS Taj Mahal

MAC Modern Mandarin

Marine Life, Aruba, Cinnamon, Excite, Tipsy, Taj Mahal, Modern Mandarin, Orange

Next up is my favorite coral blushes!
